Bats in a dream could symbolize passion

Q: A longtime friend of 16 years (of the opposite sex), moved to N.C. last year and has not been in contact since. In my dream, he called to tell me he was coming home next year. He wasn't happy where he was. I asked him three times, "Who is this?" Even though I asked the question, it seems I knew who it was. At the same time, there was someone yelling my name outside, so I decided to look. Two bats, or what seemed to be bats (very large and furry) … one red, the other black … came toward me. As I ran back inside, one became stuck in the door. I saw the person who was yelling my name: It was a girl I had gone to school with and haven't seen in 30 years. She was riding in an ATV. My friend was talking seriously on the phone and I seemed to be distracted by everything else around me.

The black bat, symbolizing sorrow and death, represents your friend. He tried to save you. The red bat, in attack mode, beat him to the punch. Your friend is remorseful and misses you. The girl you haven't seen in 30 years represents you. Where is that girl and her old-fashioned values? The ATV vehicle screams, "I will not be taken for a ride by this person." Lastly, the number three is very significant. Two's company, three's a crowd as in a love triangle. You have unresolved business with this man.
